Tupac Shakur’s Estate Under New Management. His Mom Vows To Release His “Entire Body Of Work”Posted: February 19, 2013
When Tupac Shakur died in 1996 at the age of 25, he left behind a treasure trove of unreleased music. Many of those gems have now been heard on the six albums that have been released since his passing. However, there are more unheard tracks from the rapper that many consider to be the greatest of all time.
Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, head of his estate and founder of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, issued a statement vowing to get all of her son’s music to the public.
“I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac’s entire body of work is made available for his fans,” reads the statement. “My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty.”
